The end of senior year is finally here, bringing the excitement of graduation and the anticipation of new lives in college and beyond. The kids look back on the amazing journey that has brought the four of them this far. Ryan's mom arrives with a surprise for him. Marissa receives a proposal that may radically change her plans. But unresolved issues from their past could ruin everything.
The onscreen parody of the show, The Valley, refers to the San Fernando Valley, a region of LA which is home to many of the large media conglomerates. The reailty spinoff, "Sherman Oaks: The Real Valley," is set in Sherman Oaks, an affluent community in northern LA.
Chris Carmack who played Luke Ward, was once referred to as "Abercrombie & Fitch" in a derogatory manner. Carmack was a model for the clothing company.
The show is called 'The O.C.', and not 'Orange County' as originally planned, because a movie of that name was released a year before the show premiered.
